\r\nthe MPL is now accessible through a new app for Android, mainly created to offer more reliable notifications, so it can be used more as a proper messaging platform. It's currently in open beta, and will probably stay like this for some time, as some things just can't easily be fixed.
\r\n
\r\nYou can download the MPL app for Android under https://mpl.surillya.com/app. Always make sure to download over https://mpl.surillya.com only! There is no iOS app, and there's no plan for one in the future either! If you see an iOS release, you're being *scammed*, so watch out! The only official source is https://mpl.surillya.com/app!
\r\n
\r\n### Known issues
\r\n- Voice calls don't work if you're in a different app, and will crash.
\r\n- The buttons to Accept and Decline a call in the notification don't work, and rather crash the call. You need to be in the app, using the in-app modal to accept or deny calls.
\r\n- The Dialer interface is a bit sluggish, and sometimes buttons don't respond right.

\r\nToday, the MPL (Mushville Phone Line | https://mpl.surillya.com/) has officially enrolled end to end encryption (E2EE) for user messages using generated public and private key pairs, saved on your device. This allows us to comply better with GDPR, and allows you to be certain, that your messages can never be read by admins or hackers. You can now send private information without worry of your data being exposed.

\r\nWe also added Websocket support, allowing for real-time communication, without putting too much strain on our server. This allows for quicker and more seemless conversations.
\r\n
\r\nTo enable these features, you gotta do nothing, it's applied automatically to any accounts that have signed in after the addition of E2EE. If you send messages to a person who hasn't signed in and therefore not has a public key saved, the message won't be encrypted. Make sure you are both signed in.
