Today, the MPL (Mushville Phone Line | https://mpl.surillya.com/) has officially enrolled end to end encryption (E2EE) for user messages using generated public and private key pairs, saved on your device. This allows us to comply better with GDPR, and allows you to be certain, that your messages can never be read by admins or hackers. You can now send private information without worry of your data being exposed.
We also added Websocket support, allowing for real-time communication, without putting too much strain on our server. This allows for quicker and more seemless conversations.
To enable these features, you gotta do nothing, it's applied automatically to any accounts that have signed in after the addition of E2EE. If you send messages to a person who hasn't signed in and therefore not has a public key saved, the message won't be encrypted. Make sure you are both signed in.
